The Lewis College

The Lewis College had its beginning in 1999 heralding the coming of the new millenium. At this time, world-renowned Filipina entrepreneur, philanthropist and socio-civic leader, Atty. Loida Nicolas Lewis was divinely inspired to impart a legacy to her kababayans that will generate transformation and uplift the lives of families and their communities. When the sale of Annunciation College property was brought to Mrs. Lewis' attention, she then decided this was it.

The Nicolas family is from Sorsogon, and so this was a chance for the Nicolas-Lewis family to leave a legacy to the people of Sorsogon and Bicol — the intrinsic value of continuing to provide quality education to Sorsoganons and other residents from nearby provinces.

As a tribute to excellence, the new school was named after Mrs. Loida Nicolas Lewis' late husband, visionary and self-made millionaire Reginald F. Lewis.

The Lewis name serves as a source of inspiration, and the college is also a tribute to the Nicolas-Lewis' dynamic entrepreneurial spirit.
